da cassino: Fernando Llorente is widely expected to leave Tottenham Hotspur in January, with the Spaniard struggling for regular action since making the move to London.
A return to Spain has been mentioned, but the 33-year-old played under Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa at Athletic Bilbao, and there might well be a conversation to be had.
The Sun recently reported that Llorente – a 24-time Spain international – might be available for £4m next month, and it would be some signing for Leeds if they managed to pull it off.
The Leeds supporters were recently asked whether they would be interested in their club potentially signing Llorente during the January transfer window.
And 77% of those polled revealed that they would welcome the transfer.
For all of Llorente’s struggles at Tottenham, he has managed close to 200 club goals during his professional career, with 118 of those coming at Bilbao.
