da prosport bet: Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown doesn’t believe the Gunners will end their 10-year wait for a Premier League victory at Old Trafford tomorrow and has predicted the outcome of the match to finish level.
da dobrowin: Arsenal hold a six-point advantage over the Red Devils heading into tomorrow’s clash and boast a 16 match unbeaten run across all competitions. However, they’re well aware that Arsene Wenger has never beaten Jose Mourinho in a Premier League clash.
Whilst Keown believes Arsenal are the most likely of the two sides to emerge victorious, he told The Daily Mail that a draw is the safest best and identified Marcus Rashford as one to watch.
“Arsenal are always the toughest egg to crack for United and we have seen different Manchester Uniteds turn up this season. The safe bet would be a 1-1 draw, but Arsenal are the more likely winners.”
“A better way of looking at it would be that this could be the making of Marcus Rashford. He scored two goals against Arsenal in this fixture last season and when you need someone to play down the middle he’s a good player to turn to.”
“He’s got a very good economy of movement, doesn’t waste energy and has a very good goalscoring instinct. Louis van Gaal had the strength of personality to play him down the middle and Rashford deserves the opportunity on Saturday.”
Mourinho’s Manchester United have struggled to find the best of their ability this season and face a stern test against an Arsenal side who are looking their best, though the Portuguese boss has a much stronger record against Wenger.
A defeat for United this weekend could prove to be disastrous, as they could stand nine points off the top-four at the end of this week’s fixtures, whilst Arsenal need a win to maintain pace with the rest of their title rivals.
