da esoccer bet: Everton released an update on the fitness of Gylfi Sigurdsson on Monday, and the Icelandic international says things are going according to plan.
da imperador bet: Gylfi Sigurdsson says things are “going well” in his recovery from injury and hopes to get more good news when he is reassessed next week.
Everton fans won’t have enjoyed this season, but things have certainly started looking up in recent weeks. The Toffees grabbed their first away win since December when they visited Stoke last weekend and have now won four of their last seven.
The one dark spot in an otherwise successful month for Sam Allardyce’s side has been the injury to Sigurdsson, who damaged his knee in the win against Brighton.
Of all the big money signings made last summer, the 28 year-old playmaker is probably the one that has shown glimpses of his true quality, and he has issued an update on his recovery.
“It is going well and I am steadily making progress each day,” Sigurdsson told evertonfc.com.
“I have not had any setbacks, I am off the crutches and out of the brace and almost back to walking normally.
“I am seeing the specialist in London next Tuesday and he will reassess me – and we will take it from there.”
