Of course, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men are in a bit of a crisis themselves, considering that they’re currently sitting in mid-table and are struggling to compete with the rest of the top Premier League sides.
For that reason, and with Mourinho’s newly instilled confidence, many Spurs fans are simply buzzing with this matchup and are fairly confident they will run their opposition over and do a repeat of last year’s fixture.

Some even branded it as “easy” and one fan also pointed out that their victory might be the final nail in Solskjaer’s coffin at United, referencing their poor run of form as of late.
Of course, the other narrative that was going strong was Mourinho’s return to Old Trafford. And seeing how that ended with his sack, many Spurs fans were suggesting he’s going for his revenge against the club and the players, in particular, Paul Pogba, who was mentioned by some on Twitter.
This was, of course, a reference to all the trouble the Frenchman caused Mourinho while the Portuguese coach was still in charge of the Red Devils, and some Spurs fans seem to think it will only serve as motivation for their new gaffer.
